Two arrested in connection to shooting incident that left one injured
LAUREL, Del. – Police have arrested two people in connection to a shooting that injured a Salisbury man on Wednesday.
We’re told members of the Laurel Police Department, Delaware State Police, and the DNREC Fish and Wildlife Police were called to the area of Daniel Street and Wilson Street for a fight in progress with possible shots fired. On arrival, police found no individuals fighting and no eyewitness accounts were available.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a male subject was in the area suffering from a gunshot wound to an unknown part of his body, fired from an individual later identified as Antoine Deshields.
A search warrant of two apartments in the Carvel Gardens Apartment complex were executed. While in the process of executing these warrants, a female later identified as Savanna Fosque was seen trying to remove the firearm believed to have been used in this incident from one of the target locations. She was subsequently taken into custody, and the firearm was secured.
Fosque was charged with hindering prosecution and tampering with physical evidence. She was later released on her own recognizance.
Deshields was charged with first degree reckless endangerment. He was released on a $4,001 unsecured bond.
