Ribbon cutting held for new Nemours Building, bringing pediatric care to the area

MILFORD, Del.- A ribbon cutting was held Wednesday morning to celebrate the opening of the new Nemours Building on the Bayhealth Sussex Campus.

Part of the opening includes the Nemours Children’s Health System and we’re told it’ll bring quality pediatric care to the campus.

They’ll offer routine check-ups,  immunizations,  therapy services, specialty care, and more.

Delaware’s Lieutenant Governor said services like these are needed, it’ll increase access and families won’t have to drive hours to get what they need.

“It’s convenient, it’s here, it’s right off of route 1 and again one stop shopping, you can do it all in one day,” Lt. Gov. Bethany Hall-Long, said.

“But really most importantly for families who have children with special needs, it can save an entire day having to go up and down their state.”

We’re told they’ll offer telehealth services as well.

And co-locating with Nemours duPont Pediatrics is Nemours Senior Care, which will provide dental and vision services, as well as hearing screenings.
