Easton crash claims life of one, injures two others

EASTON, Md. – Police in Easton say a weekend car crash claimed the life of one and injured two others.

Just after 6 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to the area of Ocean Gateway and the Easton Parkway (south end) for a reported vehicle collision. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2014 Ford Focus, driven by 20-year-old Teosha Henry, was stopped for the blinking red signal at westbound Ocean Gateway and the Easton Parkway, waiting to proceed north across eastbound Ocean Gateway and continue north on the Easton Parkway. The Focus proceeded into the intersection and was hit by a 2020 Chevy Spark that was traveling eastbound, being driven by 56-year-old Teresa Sanders.

As a result of the accident, a passenger in the Spark, identified as 67-year-old Angelo Butler, was taken to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Sanders was taken by helicopter to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore with serious injuries. Henry was treated at the scene.

Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident. No charges have been filed at this time.
