Delaware State Police need public’s help in identifying theft suspect in Milford


MILFORD, Del. — Delaware State Police is asking for the public’s assistance in helping to identify a suspect in an attempted theft of a motor vehicle and several thefts from vehicles in the IG Burton parking lot located on Bay Road in Milford.

Police say the incident occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2021.

The suspect is described as a man, approximately 6′ tall with a thin beard. He was wearing light colored shorts, black hooded sweatshirt, black baseball cap, and a blue reflective vest with the word “Operator” on the back.

During the incident, the suspect is believed to be operating a black KIA Optima with a red racing stripe on the hood, roof, and trunk on the passenger side. There are also possibly stickers down the driver’s side of the windshield.
