Cape’s 10-run sixth sinks Central

LEWES, Del. – Cape freshman Gage Joseph’s 7 RBI was the driving force behind a lethal Viking offense that out-slugged Sussex Central 15-7 Tuesday afternoon.

Cape held a 5-3 lead heading into the sixth inning, but Central rallied. Cole Jester drove in two runs, Troy Morris added another, and a four was scored following an error by Cape, their fifth of the afternoon.

Facing a two-run deficit the Vikings went to work.

A bases loaded walk set Joseph up for a bases-clearing triple with one out in the home half of the frame. Mason Kosc delivered a bases-clearing hit of his own, putting the game out of reach.

Cape Henlopen moves to 8-1 on the season, Sussex Central is now 6-2.
