Berlin Jazz and Blue’s Event happening May 7th-9th, people can expect changes

BERLIN, Md.- The town of Berlin is making changes to their jazz blues and arts event for next weekend.

The Berlin Chamber of Commerce told us that this year’s Berlin Jazz and Blues Art and Booths Event will be different because of the pandemic.

Instead of having the event for just one day, it will be a full weekend, May 7th to 9th.

All entertainment and food will be inside of restaurants and venues.

There will also be no shuttles this year.

The chamber said all the changes have been made to keep people safe and still allow them to have fun.

“People feel safer you can come out and space out that’s one reason we are not doing the bands on the street, we still want to give people a little bit more time to spread out and stay socially distanced as opposed to gathering tightly in our little street structure to see music,” Steve Frene, Deputy Director of the Berlin Chamber of Commerce, said.

The Chamber said there will be art and vendor booths on the street on Saturday.

They added that they wanted to put this event on to help businesses who have struggled during the pandemic.

There will be signs for parking and parking will be available in many of the big lots.
