3rd Friday returns outside
SALISBURY, Md. – Spring has finally sprung and 3rd Friday in Salisbury is back, but finally the event is being held outside. In the past year, the event has been held inside due to the pandemic but now event organizers say they’re beyond excited to get back to it.
There will be vendors, music, shopping, food and much more. We’re told the theme this year is ‘Spring Things’, so welcoming new things, and new life. There will be two mobile petting farms that includes baby goats, baby lambs, chickens and geese, and even an alpaca.
Now after a long year, event coordinators say events like these are bringing some liveliness back to the city of Salisbury. Event producer, Jamie Heater tells 47 ABC, this is truly an exciting time for them. “People really just enjoy 3rd Fridays, it’s just a time and a place to kind of feel and be apart of the community.” She goes on to say, “It really works like a well oiled machine, we’ve been doing this for over 10 years now, it seems like craziness but really it’s a quick timeline between closing down parking, getting the cars out of here, closing the roads and getting everybody here and settled.”
3rd Friday will go on every 3rd Friday of every month for the rest of the year from 5 to 8 p.m., and officials say hopefully it’ll stay outside. Masks are still required, but you are able to sit down with your mask off if you are eating.
