MERR Institute rescues seal pup in Delaware
BETHANY BEACH, Del. – The Merr Institute says they successfully rescued a baby seal pup on Sunday.
We’re told the baby had been called into MERR the previous evening by concerned residents in South Bethany. After they were able to rescue him they noticed he was underweight, so they gave him hydration and nutritional therapy, then received more therapy at Haven Lake Hospital, who donated tons of veterinary equipment.
The pup was named Maxwell, and was later released along the Delaware Bay.
