Man wanted for attempted murder arrested during traffic stop
BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – A man wanted for attempted murder was taken into custody during a traffic stop on Wednesday.
On December 4, 2020, troopers responded to Mill Park Drive in Bridgeville for a reported shooting. Troopers learned that a 47-year-old man was shot and drove himself to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Through investigative measures, detectives identified 38-year-old Kasandan Clanton as the suspect in this incident, and a warrant was obtained for his arrest.
On Wednesday, Delaware State Police located and arrested Clanton during a traffic stop in which he was a passenger. He was subsequently taken into custody and was charged with attempt to commit first degree murder, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, first degree reckless endangerment, criminal mischief under $1000, and possession of marijuana.
Clanton is being held at SCI on a $126,100 cash bond.
