Dover woman arrested on felony charges
DOVER, Del.– Delaware state police arrested a woman for a 4th DUI offense after she was involved in a car crash on Friday.
Police arrested 54-year-old Mary Williams when a trooper noticed her driving a green Chrysler without a registration plate.
Police say the trooper tried to stop her but the car then sped off, and the car then made a u-turn and came back around with its headlights turned off.
Williams then turned onto Walnut street didn’t notice a curve was there and then hit a tree.
Police say Williams tried to hide from them after the crash but was later taken into custody without incident.
Williams was arraigned and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution.
