Beebe recognizes four nurses with Daisy Award

DELAWARE – Four nurses in Delaware were honored for their superhuman efforts to take care of a patient who was recovering from open heart surgery.

Beebe Healthcare awarded the Daisy Award to Karen Hostedler, Lauren Trapp, Tyler Burkhardt, and Rachel Fields this week. We’re told the four were each on different shifts to care for the patient and each one stayed in constant contact with his wife so she did not have to worry. The wife said each nurse called to tell her the good and the bad, and even tried to make her laugh in between. She added that they were always so cheerful and compassionate and went above and beyond to care for her husband.
