24-year-old arrested for felony assault

DELMAR, Del.– Delaware State Police arrested a 24-year-old for felony assault on Thursday night.

Police arrested Michaela Scarborough when troopers responded to a house on Saint George Road in Delmar for a reported assault.

Police say after they got there they learned the previous night Scarborough had an argument with a 28-year-old man inside the house, and later stabbed him multiple times with the pointy end of a nutcracker.

The male victim sustained minor injuries to his chest and denied medical treatment.

Scarborough was taken into custody and was charged with assault 2nd degree, and was later released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
