Seal pup rescued at Cape Henlopen State Park

LEWES, Del. – A young baby seal got to feel loved over the Valentine’s Day weekend.

On Friday, this pup was rescued by the Marine Education Research and Rehabilitation Institute. We’re told the pup is only about three weeks old and was found huddled up against the dune at Cape Henlopen State Park with small wounds on her head. She was rescued because she would not have been able to survive on her own, according to officials. Rescuers named her Cupid since she was rescued on Valentine’s weekend.
