Police: Man smashes mother’s car windshield during argument

SALISBURY, Md. – Wicomico County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Salisbury man for malicious destruction of property following an incident late last week.

On Friday, a deputy responded to a residence in the 500 block of Woodlyn Street for a reported vandalism in progress. The initial report was of a subject smashing the windows out of a vehicle with a baseball bat. When the deputy around, they observed a vehicle with a smashed out windshield, and made contact with a resident, identified as 20-year-old Da’mond Moore. Police say Moore appeared agitated and was screaming while brandishing a baseball bat.

Further investigation revealed that Moore had gotten into an argument with his mother that escalated when Moore took the bat to his mother’s car.

Moore was arrested and charged with malicious destruction of property. He was released on his own recognizance.

No photo is available for Moore at this time.
