Police: 17-Year-Old arrested after stabbing officer in leg
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – A 17-year-old male is facing charges after police say he stabbed an officer in the thigh.
Cambridge Police say the entire ordeal started on Saturday night around 10:30 when they responded to the 700 block of Cornish Drive for reports of a violation of a peace order. Once they arrived, police say they found that 17-year-old male juvenile in the back of the property.
When officers approached him, they say they attempted to do a weapons check and found a cigar and a baggie with suspected cocaine. When police tried to place the juvenile under arrest, they say he took a knife out of his pocket and stabbed the officer in the thigh.
The juvenile was eventually placed under arrest and now faces charges as an adult for first and second degree assault and other related charges.
