Girl Scout Cookies now available through GrubHub App in Salisbury area

SALISBURY, Md. — Girl scout cookies are on sale again in the Salisbury area and despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, local troops have found a creative way of getting those delicious baked goods to your door step.

For the first time ever, Girl Scout Cookies will now be available through the food delivery app GrubHub. We’re told from Friday through to Sunday, locals will be able to get their hands on these sweet treats by simply using the app.

Alison Lynch, a volunteer support specialist for girls scouts of the Chesapeake Bay, says this service will help support local troops due to a majority of their funding coming from cookie sales. Lynch says in part quote, “cookies sales are going to be down because we have fewer booths and we have fewer in-person opportunities.” She adds that the sales of  cookies is where troops get the majority of their funding throughout the year.

Lynch expresses her gratitude for those buying the cookies saying, “this year more than ever we appreciate your support through supporting your local girl scouts.”

The program has already started and will be available through to April 3rd, 2021. We’re told you must live within 15 miles of the Salisbury office to utilize the brand new program.

If you don’t know any girls scouts and are trying to get your hands on some cookies in your area, you can visit gscb.org/cookies.
