Eastern Shore mass COVID-19 vaccination clinic to be held at Wicomico Civic Center

SALISBURY, Md. – The Wicomico Youth and Civic Center will soon be the site of the Eastern Shore’s COVID-19 mass vaccination clinic.

Governor Larry Hogan made the announcement Friday morning. Details are limited, but Hogan tells us they will release more details next week on when it will open. The governor said “It’s going to be great, it’ll be available to anybody it’ll help people from all across the shore, people will be able to access it.”

Salisbury Mayor Julia Glanz released a statement to us saying, “Thank you to the Governor’s Office, MDH and our local health department for coordinating to make this vaccination site happen. It will be so exciting to see our community continuing to lead the way in getting our population vaccinated as we get more doses. The city is committed to educating and reaching those that are most vulnerable in our community, and may need more information on the vaccine, help getting registered, or transportation to get vaccinated.”

If you are eligible to receive the vaccine and looking to find an appointment, you can find details here. They are not yet making appointments at the planned Eastern Shore clinic.
