Drunk driver hits back of ambulance

DOVER, Del.– A van and an ambulance collided in Dover earlier Saturday morning.

Dover Police were on the scene of the crash near Scarborough Road at North DuPont Highway, where they say they learned the gray Chevrolet van driven by 35-year-old Justin Pawlowski had rear ended the ambulance.

According to the report, three people inside of the ambulance including two staff members were taken to the hospital for their injuries, the patient in transport was not one of the injured.

The investigation revealed that Pawlowski was driving under the influence, and will be charged vehicular assault in the first and second degree, reckless endangering, DUI, and traffic offenses.
