Cape downs Central, ends three-game skid

LEWES, Del. – Cape Henlopen ended their three-game losing streak with a 46-37 victory over Sussex Central in Lewes Friday night.

Kay’von Jackson and Zimere Boulden each dropped 11 points for the Vikings, Nate Sivels and Ja’Vaughn Burton each added 9. Burton put the game away for Cape, going a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe in the fourth quarter.

Chase Boyle led the way for Central with 11, Donte Spencer scored 10.

Cape Henlopen’s big advantage over Central was in free throws. The Vikings shot 17-for-28 from the line, while Central went 2-for-5.

Cape (3-7) travels to Dover next, while Central (7-5) will play at Smyrna on Monday.
