Salvation Army thanks community for holiday donations

DELMARVA – A huge thank you goes out from the Salvation Army to the community who donated over the Christmas holidays.

On Tuesday, the Salvation Army said they expected to have a 50% decrease in fundraising because of the pandemic, but instead they were able to reach their goal and provide help to those in need. On top of that, because of everyone involved in the Angel Tree program, they were able to give gifts to 1,010 children over the Christmas season.

In a statement, the Captain of the Salvation Army said, “We want to say thank you to all who made it possible for us to provide life-saving services to the hungry, homeless, and families and individuals feeling hopeless in the area.
