Motorcycle crash leaves one dead

MILFORD, Del.– Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened Friday evening.

Police say on Friday around 6 p.m. a 2004 Suzuki GSX was traveling northbound in the 1000 block of Log Cabin Road when it hit an 85 year old man.

Troopers say from the investigation the man got out of his parked car and began crossing the road toward his mailbox when he was hit.

After the initial impact, the motorcycle overturned and the driver was was ejected.

The 85 year old was pronounced dead at the scene and his identification is unknown at the time pending notification to next of kin.

The motorcycle driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, and the crash remains under investigation.
