Housing market looking strong for 2021
MARYLAND- Locally we are being told real estate groups were seeing a huge spike in people wanting to buy and sell in 2020, and this year that trend may continue.
The team leader of the Maryland and Delaware Group of Long and Foster said they saw a record real estate market as a whole last year.
He predicted that 2021 will be even stronger because more people will put their houses on the market in the Spring.
The leader also added that it’s a unique time because it’s both a good time to sell and a good time to buy.
“What I think we’re going to see is more people are going to put their house on the market come this spring, you’re going to have the same type of demand because interest rates are going to stay low, and I think 2021 will be a better year for real estate sales are concerned,” Brandon Brittingham, team leader of MD & DE Group of Long & Foster, said.
Brittingham added that inventory nationwide is at the lowest level that we have ever seen, similar to what’s happening on the Eastern Shore.
He said that when the real estate market is strong, it will benefit the local economy.
