Dover man arrested in homicide investigation

 

DOVER, Del.– Delaware State Police have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with a homicide that happened back in October of last year.

The investigation began on October 2, 2020 around 7 p.m., when troopers responded to the 200 block of David Hall Road for a reported shooting.

Police say troopers located the 21-year-old man from Dover dead inside of a vehicle from an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body.

Through preliminary investigations police found that a physical altercation between the victim and an unknown suspect occurred before the victim was shot.

Through investigative measures, detectives were able to identify Deon’te Reaves as the suspect on January 15th of this year.

Reaves was charged with Murder in the 1st degree and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
