Community remembering Denny Mogan: Husband, father, restaurant owner
WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – The community is remembering downtown Salisbury restaurant owner Denny Mogan after he passed away on Friday due to a tough battle with ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
Mogan was formally diagnosed with Bulbar onset ALS on March 10, 2020. The disease first affects breathing, speaking and swallowing. There was an outpouring of support from the community during 2020 as several fundraising efforts were held to help the family with medical expenses.
On Saturday, the City of Salisbury posted on Facebook, “Denny Mogan’s journey has taken him from us, but his name will be forever etched in the annals of Salisbury history as someone who played a critical role in restoring our beloved Downtown to its former glory. The massive overnight success of his restaurant is a testament to the care he put into his work, and the only thing as big as his heart was his infectious smile. We already miss you, Denny.”
Denny Mogan opened Mogan’s Oyster House in Downtown Salisbury in October 2019.
