Bucs walk the plank, Polytech picks up second win

MILFORD, Del. – Polytech picked up their second win of the season against Milford Friday night, 54-42.

The Panthers ran up a 5-point lead going into halftime, thanks in large part to the disparity in free throw shooting. Polytech hit 9-of-10 in the first half to Milford’s 0-for-4.

Polytech grew their lead to double digits in the third quarter, but could not put Milford away until the final minute of the game.

Milford’s Ethan Wilkins was charged with a double technical with a minute left in the game, and Xavier Brewington hit 3-of-4 from the charity line to push the lead back to double digits, sealing their win.

Polytech (2-4) will play Sussex Tech at home on Tuesday, while Milford (1-5) will play undefeated Smyrna at home on Friday.
