Bridgeville man arrested on felony drug charges

BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested 42-year-old Jerome. W. Charleston of Bridgeville on drug charges and violation of probation following a criminal investigation.

Police say on Tuesday around 1 p.m., members of the Delaware State Police Governors Task Force and Probation and Parole responded to a home in the 11000 block of Evans Drive for a criminal investigation.

When police arrived at the home they say they spoke with Jerome W. Charleston. After conducting an investigation police found heroin, crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and  $3,941 in suspected drug money.

As a result Charleston was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a tier 3 quantity, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance in a tier 1 quantity and 2 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $32,000 secured bond.
