Maryland State Police respond to traffic complaint at Hebron Wonderland, no COVID related issues
HEBRON, Md. – Maryland State Police tell 47 ABC, troopers responded to a traffic complaint at Hebron Wonderland on Saturday night but there were no issues related to COVID-19 enforcement.
A spokesperson for MSP says police responded shortly before 7 PM to 26700 Quantico Creek Road. “There was a large Christmas display in the 26000 block of Quantico Creek Road that was causing a traffic hazard due to the number of vehicles in the area blocking the roadway and causing a backup.”
However, MSP says there were no issues related to COVID enforcement. “All persons there were wearing masks, etc. Troopers spoke with the organizer and the situation was remedied and the traffic cleared out.” MSP says no warnings, citations or arrests were made.
The Wicomico County Health Department tells 47 ABC they were not involved in closing Hebron Wonderland Saturday night.
The Hebron Wonderland Facebook page, posted Sunday morning that the lights would be on Sunday night from 6 PM to 9 PM.
Before the Hebron Wonderland opened for the season, they posted on Facebook on November 26 saying, “Please wear a mask and social distance tp help keep our community safe.”
