Jeepers Back The Blue show support for injured police officer with jeep convoy in Dover Saturday

DOVER, Del.– An organization hosted a jeep convoy, Saturday at 3 p.m., to show their support for a Milford Police Officer who was recently shot multiple times in a Rehoboth shooting.

Jeepers Back The Blue, is a group that supports families of fallen police officers, as well as the law enforcement community.

The organizer of the event,  Jeff Lehnert, said Senior Corporal Tj Webb, is currently in a rehabilitation center where he is staying until he can be cleared to go home.

Lehnert said the jeeps met at Del-tech, and then drove by the facility as a way to show their support for Corporal Webb, and they hope he feels the love.

“I hope he doesn’t feel like hes along in this, too many times you know after all the media dies down and the attention goes away they are left with themselves and thoughts and their struggles, we just want to let him know there’s people pulling for him,  and hoping for him and that we are going to continue to support him as much as we can,” Lehnert said.

Jeepers Back The Blue is a non-profit that’s been up and running for around 3 years.

They have raised over $200,000 dollars to families, and have helped families in 9 states.
