Giving Tuesday kicks off, 95 non-profits included

SALISBURY, Md. – Tuesday is the big day, it’s time to give back to non profits and organizations here on the shore that work year round to help those in need. It’s finally giving Tuesday.

2020 has proven to be an especially difficult year for non profits, as many of them had to navigate through the challenges brought on by the coronavirus pandemic. But giving back is easy, and this year people on the Eastern Shore will have dozens of non profits to choose from when donating.

Erica Joseph, the president of the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, says she’s hopeful that Tuesday will bring a boost to non profits who faced a variety of challenges this year.

“We know that organizations have struggled with volunteer engagement this year because of concerns with health and safety, we also know that there are many challenges within the typical donor base, our business partners, government resources, and individual donors,” she said.

Donating is really simple, all you need to do is log on to and you can browse the non profits that are participating.  Joseph says with early scheduled donations, they’ve already raised more than thirteen thousand dollars.

And we should mention, 47 ABC is a very proud sponsor of giving Tuesday.
