Former Fruitland Police officer remembered with special gift

FRUITLAND, Md. – One local police department gave a gift to remember a local hero and former Fruitland police officer.

On Tuesday, the Fruitland Police Department thanked Sergeant Rob Pfarr from the Bel Air Police Department, who gave these plaques in memory of Spencer Wiersberg. Wiersberg passed away back in January due to cancer. His story and dedication to his community became well known and his battle reminded many that no one fighters alone.

Fruitland PD said, “These plaques will grace our walls and keep our warrior’s spirit alive.”
