Duck Donuts opens in Rehoboth Beach

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – This weekend people in Rehoboth Beach celebrated the grand opening of the long-awaited donut shop Duck Donuts.

The owners of the franchise location Julia and Charles (Buff) Vaughan say many people were excited about the grand opening. They say their first customer was actually in line on Saturday at 4:30 AM before they officially opened their doors at 7 AM.

Duck Donuts specializes in warm, delicious, made to order donuts. The owners tell 47ABC they’re open seven days a week and they’re grateful for the support they’ve already gotten from the community.

“It’s kind of a deep sigh because opening a business at the beach, during the winter, and during a pandemic was a little dicey,” said Julia Vaughan.

“So it’s a deep sigh. It’s a sigh of relief that we’re getting the support and it means so much to us,” said Julia.

The donut shop is open from 7 AM until 1 PM during the winter months. The owners say they’ll also be supporting the Food Bank of Delaware this year raising money through their round-up program called Quack Gives Back.
