DSP investigating shots fired in Dover
DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a shots fired incident that happened Tuesday evening.
We’re told the incident happened just before 5 p.m., in the area of Walters Way in Dover. It was learned that three occupants were inside their residence and heard two gunshots outside the home. They then reportedly saw a projectile lying in the hallway inside of the home. A bullet hole was also found in the corner of the residence.
Further investigation revealed that two unknown pedestrians were walking on Willis Branch Drive near the victim’s residence, when a dark colored sedan pulled up next to them and began shooting. The pedestrians and suspect vehicle then fled the area.
Inside the home at the time of the incident was a 63-year-old man, a 53-year-old female, and a 14-year-old female. No one was injured.
There are no reports of injuries and the identities of the pedestrians and occupants of the suspect vehicle are unknown at this time.
