Dentist taking strides to protect patients

DELAWARE – A dentist office in Delaware is going above and beyond during the pandemic. With numerous businesses struggling this year, one dentist went the extra mile to install military-grade air purifiers for the building.

Officials tell 47 abc, the EnviroKlenz Air System Plus is said to help keep the air clean and mitigate the risk of COVID-19 spread. Dentistry officials also say, the technology was originally designed for chemical warfare decontamination.

According to testing done by Intertek lab, the purifier is 99% effective in helping to ward off viruses. Though this purifier is a big ticket item, officials say this purchase allows more clients in the office, in a safer environment amid the pandemic.

There is no word however, if more air systems will be implemented in other dentist offices but this could be a first step to adjust to the pandemic.
