Delaware teen thanks community member for all she does

DELAWARE – Today we’re showing the importance of kindness and what one teenager in Delaware did to make someone smile.

Two years ago, a teenager named Layla Gainer thanked Ms. Kay for being a part of the community and all she does. After that, Layla and Ms. Kay lost contact, until just recently when Layla learned that Ms. Kay was battling cancer. She did all she could to reconnect and was able to surprise Ms. Kay again with flowers and a letter of how important she is to the community.

We’re told the act of kindness brought tears to Ms. Kay’s eyes.
