Del. woman receives donations to help people in Kenya
DELAWARE – One woman who is doing what she can to help people thousands of miles away across the ocean in Kenya just received some hefty donations just before the holidays.
A Delaware resident and teacher named Alayna Aiken is the founder of a sewing school in Kenya and she was in need of donations to help build a new school and employ more people in Kenya. On Wednesday, she announced she got a $3500 check from an individual, another $2500 from a Millsboro church, and another $1000 from staff at the Cape Henlopen School.
She says her employees in Kenya are crying because they have employment before Christmas.
