Coronavirus cases across the shore: December 14, 2020

DELMARVA – Here is an update on COVID-19 cases across the Eastern Shore.

Maryland is reporting 236,961 total cases, including 2,314 added over the last 24 hours. The state’s positivity rate is now at 7.46%, up just slightly from yesterday. Locally, Wicomico County is at 3,960 cases with a positivity rate of 6.78%, while Worcester County has 1,727 cases and a positivity rate of 8.18%.

Delaware added just over 1,000 new cases overnight, bringing the state’s total to 46,457. The statewide positivity rate is 22.2%, up from 20% yesterday. Sussex County is up to 12,526 total cases, with a positivity rate of 22.9%, up just slightly from yesterday.

Virginia is reporting 246,566 total cases across the state. Accomack County is nearing 1,500 cases.
