Central wins fourth straight; hopes for playoff berth
DIAA committee will meet Sunday
GEORGETOWN, De- The Sussex Central Golden Knights won their fourth straight game, defeating Milford 28-16 on Friday night in Georgetown.
After falling behind 7-0 just three minutes into the game, the Golden Knights regained their composure to take a 14-7 lead early in the second after a 37-yard touchdown run by Phillip Stratton. Leading 21-10 at the half, the Knights would hold off the Bucs for the win.
Sussex Central (5-2) now awaits their fate in the Division I playoff chase. The DIAA football committee will meet on Sunday and announce the four teams who will compete for the 2020 championship.
