Barefoot Baby Boutique grateful for community’s support this holiday season
SALISBURY, Md.- Barefoot Baby Boutique, a small business in Salisbury, said she is really pleased with how much the community supported her during this holiday season.
Martha Ogburn, the owner of the boutique, said during the pandemic everything has been uncertain.
She said she wanted to keep her expectations low because she didn’t know how well her store would do this Christmas, but Ogburn said sales exceeded her expectations and she’s grateful.
She added that sales even did better than last Christmas.
“I feel really good about what went down for Christmas, I mean you get really anxious when you hear about the COVID stuff and you think that’s going to drive sales down, but people were wonderful,” Ogburn said. “You know I had lots of people come buy who specifically wanted to shop local.”
Ogburn said she will be starting her after Christmas sale soon with inventory being up to 40 percent off.
She also added that even though the holidays are over people should continue to support local, including restaurants.
