AGH hosting annual Penguin Swim, with changes for covid safety

OCEAN CITY, Md. – On January first, Atlantic General Hospital’s Penguin Swim fundraiser will go on but with some changes this year because of the pandemic.

The annual event draws tons of people and also helps out the hospital in a big way. That’s why Michael Cylc, one of the co chairs of the event, says it was still important to put the event on this year but with adjustments to keep people safe from Covid 19.

One of the biggest changes is that this year the swim will be stretched across three blocks from 91st street to 94th street in Ocean City.

Cylc says although things may be different, the benefits of the event are still there.

“The funds that are raised through the penguin swim go directly back to our community in the form of free and low cost healthcare programs, flu shots,” he said.

You can register the day of the swim but pre registration is really recommended. To do that, and to find more information on the event, click here.
