Windmill Creek Vineyard & Winery holds second annual Christmas Vendor Market

BERLIN, Md. – In Berlin, the Windmill Creek Vineyard & Winery hosted their Second Annual Christmas Vendor Market today and some small businesses there say this event is huge support during the coronavirus pandemic.

The event gave people a chance to learn more about all kinds of small businesses on the Maryland Eastern Shore. Event organizers say more than 20 local vendors and artisans participated at the event, which followed health and safety protocols.

Event organizers tell 47ABC small businesses need help to recoup summer losses.

“A lot of us, a lot of small businesses have had a rough year and any opportunity to be out where people are and to be able to sell is really important right now,” said Jeannie Mariner, owner at the Windmill Creek Vineyard & Winery.

“We’ve had a lot of events canceled and it’s been hard on the local farmers and I’m a farmer,” said Angela Smithhisler, a farmer at Marshall Creek Farm.

“And hard on the farmers and small businesses, so we really appreciate it and it’s just a great event,” said Smithhisler.

The Windmill Creek Vineyard & Winery says they plan on hosting more events that support local businesses in the future.
