Whiskey & Randy recap Country Music Awards

SALISBURY, Md. – The 54th annual Country Music Awards are in the books and some big names took home some big awards.

Eric Church took home entertainer of the year on Wednesday night, the night’s biggest award. Country singer Maren Morris also took home some awards, including single of the year.

Whiskey and Randy of Froggy 99.9 say the awards show wasn’t as normal as it would’ve been before the pandemic of course, but that they were still impressed with what was put on. They say one part they both enjoyed seeing was Delaware’s own Jimmie Allen.

“Even though we were a little disappointed that Jimmie didn’t win, we were disappointed that Jimmie didn’t win new artist of the year, but he got a lot of speech time, big time, he got a lot of time on camera, he was looking fly as always, he and his fiance,” Randy Scott said.

Jimmie Allen is originally from Milton, Delaware.
