Weather Tidbits: Leonid Meteor Shower

The big meteor shower event of November or the Leonids, is the main focus of this Weather Tidbits. The meteor shower is created as the earth crosses the path of the Comet Tempel-Tuttle, which orbits around the sun every 33 years. The Leonids are known for producing major storms, where hundreds of thousands per hour can be observed. The name Leonids is due to its radiant point or where they emerge is from the constellation Leo.
