Two UMES students receive prestigious scholarships
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Two UMES students are the recipients of a prestigious award that spotlights champions who pioneer breakthroughs in flight safety.
On the University’s Facebook page, they congratulated aviation science majors and seniors Leul Fedaku and Sarah Adewumi for receiving scholarships from the Laura Taber Barbour Air Safety Foundation. We’re told the foundation recognizes and celebrates original and remarkable worldwide contributions in the field of aviation safety. Nominations are based on a student’s commitment to a career in aviation, scholastic excellence, commendable character, professionalism, and integrity.
