CRISFIELD, Md. – More than 100 families had something to look forward to this Thanksgiving thanks to staff members at a local school.

Volunteers at Carter G. Woodson Elementary School donated Thanksgiving meals to 149 Somerset families. We’re told in total, 80 turkeys, 149 bags of non-perishable food, and 500 pounds were given away.

In addition, volunteers donated 40 boxes of disposable gloves, 100 bags of disposable masks, and 100 bottles of hand sanitizers to help local families stay healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
