Local organization to host ColeStrong Craft & Vendor Show next Saturday
SUSSEX COUNTY, Del. – In Sussex County, the ColeStrong Foundation is gearing up for their ColeStrong Craft & Vendor Show.
The foundation was created by the family of Cole Willey a local teenager battling cancer. They say their goal is to help raise awareness about childhood cancer and much more.
The event will take place next Saturday at the American Legion Post 19 in Laurel. The organization says there will be a number of items people can buy such as wreaths, wooden Christmas trees, and more. There will also be raffles and food.
The organization says money raised during the event will go towards growing their second annual childhood cancer awareness event in September. They say there also needs to be more done to provide emotional support for the siblings of children battling cancer.
“Sometimes you can feel like you’re in this alone and even though you’re not sometimes it really does feel that way and we want to help families remember that they aren’t alone because no one fights this battle alone,” said Laralyn Willey, Cole’s mother.
“We’re all in it together,” said Laralyn.
The event starts at 8 AM.
If aren’t able to attend, but you’re still interested in making a donation to the organization you’re encouraged to email them at thecolestrongfoundation@gmail.com.
