Local high school football coach honored for efforts during pandemic

SALISBURY, Md. – A local high school football coach is being recognized for his impact on student athletes off the field during the pandemic.

Wicomico High School’s head football coach Isaiah Taylor has been named the Baltimore Ravens Coach of the Week. Taylor is being honored for utilizing creative ideas and strong leadership to grow participation in his Wicomico football program despite the season being postponed until spring.

According to the Ravens website, Taylor and his staff made sure to check in with every player every week through zoom meetings to see how they were adapting to the changes set by COVID-19.
