Fenix Youth Project hoping to raise funds during Shore Gives More

Salisbury, MD – Giving Tuesday is just over one week away and in the days leading to December 1st we are highlighting some non-profits you’ll see on the list to donate to.

Next Tuesday the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore is encouraging you to donate to the group of your choice. Among the 95 non-profits on the list is the Fenix Youth project. The non-profit is designed to serve the homeless youth and young adults ages 13 to 24.

Amber Green, the executive director of the organization, tells 47 ABC money raised will help fund their outreach program so that they can get out into the community and directly get young adults to the services they need.

“Shore gives more provides an opportunity for small non profits, large non profits, medium size non profits to get involved into giving Tuesday, which is the national day of giving” Green said. “It’s an opportunity for everyone to contribute to their community.”

The non-profit will have an event on Black Friday, November 27th, where individuals can come pick up free clothes at their office on Fruitland avenue in Salisbury.
