Coronavirus cases across the shore: November 9, 2020

DELMARVA – Here is an update on COVID-19 cases across the Eastern Shore.

Maryland added 1,375 new cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the state’s total to 155,371 confirmed cases, with a positivity rate of 5.05%, up nearly 0.5% from the previous day. Wicomico County is up to 2,714 confirmed cases with a positivity rate of 3.91%, while Worcester County has 1,282 confirmed cases with a positivity rate of 3.53%.

In Delaware, the total number of confirmed cases is up to 26,908, with a positivity rate of 12.8%. Locally, Sussex County is up to 8,589 cases, with a positivity rate of 16.2%, up from 12.5% from the previous day.

Virginia now has 177,240 confirmed cases statewide. Accomack County is up to 1,241 confirmed cases.
