Coronavirus cases across the shore: November 3, 2020

DELMARVA – Here is the latest on COVID-19 across the Eastern Shore.

Maryland added 771 new cases overnight, bringing the statewide total to 147,766, with the positivity rate dropping just slightly to 3.93%. Locally, Wicomico County added just 11 new cases, bringing their total to 2,601, with a positivity rate remaining steady at 4.4%. Worcester County added just four new cases and currently sits at 1,253, with a county-wide positivity rate of 4.2%.

In Delaware, 115 new cases were added in the last 24 hours, bringing the state’s total to 25,426. The statewide positivity rate is at 10.3%, up from 7.7% the previous day. Sussex County added 42 new cases, bringing their total to 8,255, with a positivity rate of 12.6%.

The state of Virginia added more than 1,200 new cases overnight, bringing their total to 170,577. Accomack County remains steady at 1,229 cases.
