Coronavirus cases across the shore: November 2, 2020

DELMARVA – Here is the latest on COVID-19 cases across the Eastern Shore.

Maryland added 850 new cases over the last 24 hours, bringing the state’s total to 146,995 confirmed cases. The statewide positivity rate is inching closer to 4%, now sitting at 3.94%. Locally, Wicomico County is up to 2,590 total cases with a positivity rate of 4.13%, while Worcester is up to 1,249 cases with a positivity rate of 3.85%.

Delaware is now up to 25,311 confirmed cases, with a statewide positivity rate of 7.6%, down from 10.7% yesterday. Sussex County is up to 8,213 confirmed cases with a positivity rate of 10.2%, which is down more than 4% from yesterday.

In Virginia, more than 1,000 new cases were added in the last 24 hours, bringing the statewide total to 169,512 confirmed cases. Accomack sits at 1,229 cases.
